Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Still not happy. Still no activism category. Tumblr is still just for apolitical nonsense.
Why not piss on Jesus day instead? Muslims aren’t allowed to depict Mohammed either you racist idiots.
Yup, you read that right. If you didn’t know, today has been designated Everyone Draw Mohammad Day. It’s an act of rebellion standing up for free speech in the face of terrorism.

Redesign a new logo for BP aka Burning Platform. I mean, not only their image is ruined but the Gulf of Mexico and its coast as well. We can’t redesign them so at least we need a new logo.
Competition to create a new brand image for BP.
Apple kills. Death by work like in Nazi Germany.
M.I.C Gadget reports on an investigative piece from China’s Southern Weekly on Foxconn, a tech factory in Shenzhen, China, that manufactures iPods, iPads, and iPhones for Apple, and has experienced a nine suicide attempts within six months. And what’s behind the suicides? According to Liu Zhi Yi, the amateur reporter who got himself hired to uncover the working conditions, it is the job stress. This factory reportedly produces the “iProducts” for Apple non-stop, 24/7. Read more about the investigative piece here and here, as well as follow up reports here and here.

Do you know what smartass? I’ll write the guy you stole the images from and we’ll see. You didn’t know where the images came from? Like you downloaded them from under your bed or what you dirty liar? Also, ever heard of Google? It took me one search for “eyes” to find the source. You’re just a lazy bastard who fucks people over.
Last but not least there is a huge difference between citing a work and stealing it. Taking ten or more full size images and displaying them as yours is image theft. Even on Tumblr people don’t do that, they just take one or two.
Poisoning the Poor

A new study from Drexel University researchers published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine shows that when stores in poor neighborhoods do get fresh produce, it is more likely to be close to spoiling or have the potential to make people sick. After buying salad, strawberries, cucumbers and watermelon repeatedly over 15 months in the Philadelphia area, the scientists found that mold, microorganisms and bacteria were all more likely to be present on produce purchased from stores in poor neighborhoods than in wealthier ones. In other words, if you are a poor Philadelphian buying fruits and vegetables in your own neighborhood, chances are your produce will spoil faster and may give you food poisoning.
You have stolen these eye images. At least provide proper credits for the artist/photographer you content thief.
A white utility van emblazoned with the logo of the “Shoreditch Department of Advertising Correction” has been taking over political billboards in East London, changing Conservative Party ads to poetic or sometimes political ends. The group sends a press release and a series of photos of the billboard modifications, which started appearing around Old Street and Shoreditch High Street on April 19.
The work, by scientists in Portugal and Belgium, reveals that an increasing range of behaviours among the individuals of a population leads to cooperation, supporting the idea that democracy - where individuals are free to act as they wish - is in fact the path for better societies.
Richard Dawkins never gets tired of reminding us that evolution is based on the survival of the fittest and on selfishness. Every cell, every living thing is designed to promote its own survival, if necessary at the expense of everything else. Still, cooperation is very much alive, and more, is widespread, being found in a multitude of living beings from the cells of a multicellular organism to insects and of course humans - the “big cooperators”.
